SEAT has introduced the Leon X-Perience at the Paris Motor Show where Volkswagen is also showcasing the sister model Golf Alltrack.

The visual differences between this and the Leon ST upon which is based consist in front & rear aluminum underbody protection and plastic body cladding on both bumpers, side skirts and wheel arches. In addition, the Leon X-Perience comes with a 15mm increased ride height to better tackle rough terrain and has also received different alloy wheels available in 17- and 18-inch sizes.

Perhaps the most important feature is the permanent AWD setup with fifth generation Haldex coupling working with a 1.8 TSI engine outputting 180 HP & 280 Nm. Those who prefer diesels can choose between the base. 1.6 TDI with 110 HP & 250 Nm and a 2.0 TDI available with 150 HP & 320 Nm and 184 HP & 380 Nm. All motors feature a start/stop system and are connected to a standard six-speed manual gearbox but at an additional cost a DSG transmission is offered.

Moving inside the cabin, Seat has selected a brown leather and Alcantara upholstery featuring orange contrast stitching but only on the upper-spec version as the cheaper models come with a fabric material. Besides the compulsory badges, the Leon X-Perience offers a spacious 587-liter cargo capacity which can be increased to 1,470 liters after folding the rear seats.

The Seat Leon X-Perience is programmed to go on sale in the weeks to come.
