I suggest that you select a 0W30 or 5W30 that you like, even if it does not have the MB229.5 certification, and change it at reasonable intervals.
此处是原文,应当是q50车友去博客提的问:

Hi Rat, thanks for reply. You mean the Recommended Lubricants in manual?
Here are the contains “· Engine oil meeting specification MB229.5, viscosity SAE 0W-30 or
equivalent.
· As an alternative to this recommended oil, engine oils meeting
specification MB229.5, viscosity SAE 0W-40, 5W-30 and 5W-40 may be
used and meet all specifications and requirements necessary to maintain
the new vehicle limited warranty.”
Thanks.

Hi again Woody.
Now I have the information I was looking for. OW30 or 5W30 would always be preferred over 0W40 or 5W40. If you could find 0W30 or 5W30 with the MB229.5 certification, that might be ideal, but I’ve NEVER seen nor heard of any engine ever having a problem when it uses a motor oil that did not have all the Auto Maker’s called for certifications.
Unless a new car owner has the oil changed at a Dealer of that brand, it is very unlikely that the oil being used will have all the vehicle maker’s called for certifications.
In the real world, it just doesn’t matter, because engines aren’t that fragile. So, they never know the difference.
And when vehicles are bought “used”, most of the new owners don’t have the Owner’s Manual to check for the recommended oil to use. So, those new owners just buy their favorite motor oil and use that, without ever even thinking about whether or not it meets all the vehicles specs.
And it’s the same thing if the new owner takes the vehicle to an Oil Change place, or to an independent shop to get the oil changed. Those places will also never know what the vehicle’s oil requirements are. They will just use whatever oil they always use. And the engines never have a problem.
So, I suggest that you select a 0W30 or 5W30 that you like, even if it does not have the MB229.5 certification, and change it at reasonable intervals.
Take care,
540 RAT
