I just put Amsoil 5W-40 European formula in my car. No complaints, great oil. However, it is a BMW LL-04 oil, and after some research, it looks like BMW does not want gas BMWs outside of Europe to be using LL-04 oil. 后面这个不太肯定。就是这个机油标准需要满足高温高转速下的低粘度,以达到燃油经济性。并且有一个适应引擎的列表。

文中也可以看到基本上也是主要针对柴油引擎的DPF进行了优化设计,优化排放的。黏度方面,似乎也没有到20这样。

I believe this comment was strictly in relation to gasoline quality issues outside of Europe. Similarly to these MB specs, BMW advises against the use of BMW LL-04 spec"d oil in gasoline engines outside of Europe, citing questionable gasoline quality. Whether this argument really holds water, I have no idea. I, too, would like to hear what are the real reasons, if any.
有哥们儿回答:他相信那根欧洲以外地区的汽油品质有很大的关系。
类似MB229.51这样的认证,宝马的LL-04认证机油也不推荐在欧洲以外的汽油引擎上使用。主要也是考虑到了当地的燃油品质问题。

I think it was discussed somewhere on the board and it had something to do with the ethanol content of US (and/or non-euro) gas. Not sure why that would matter, but I"m pretty sure that"s the explaination.

An official BMW TIS document in one of those links says (in regards to LL-04 oils) "They must not be used outside this area (the EU, Switzerland, Norway and Liechtenstein) as problems are often encountered with fuel quality"

结论出现:
从我们车子的角度出发,机油的厂方认证,不是越新越好,不是越环保越好。
所谓的最新的标准,往往都是为了迎合更高的燃油经济性要求、更低的排放要求。
而并不总是基于是否能对引擎有最佳的保护,是否对机械设备驾控有最好的保障。
类似奔驰:
MB229.5是标准的引擎长效机油认证
MB229.51是在229.5基础上降低了TBN,减少对DPF污染的一个标准。
后果是,较低的TBN首先迎合不了中和燃油中硫的需求,同时在乙醇汽油的环境下,还无法对引擎腐蚀产生足够的保护。
如果是宝马:
LL-01对应的MB229.5的状况
LL-04对应的是MB229.51的状况
而LL-04FE怎是更加增加了对燃油经济性的提升
所以————
众所周知欧洲是一个对环保有着近乎狂热追求的区域,并且也在以环保这个概念制作壁垒。
同时他们所做的很多东西,比如机油在环保低排放要求下做出的成品,可以说也有着非常明确的地域特色。
比如我们都在讨论的福斯GT1,他的不同产品通过了MB229.31、MB229.51、BMW Longlife-04等认证标志;
我印象中力魔的机油也很多通过MB229.51
在奔驰的认证标准里面,31、51皆为的机油降低了硫磷含量,说是对三元好,但更低的TBN对燃油的要求非常高,你要达到奔驰所要求的换油周期,首先得有奔驰夸张的引擎机油用量;还要有欧洲牛逼的燃油品质。
如果你的引擎4缸机用了3L的燃油,那即使在欧洲,请不要按照MB提示的2.5W公里保养,因为他的机子4缸用6L,目前最新的机器4缸得用7L机油,人同样一发动机机油,TBN总量就是比你多。
如果到了我们国内,燃油品质的劣化,会让这个机油的衰减大大加速。
你要说这些欧洲的优质机油好不好,很好!!!但是在国内,请参考一下奔驰4S的换油推荐周期(国内奔驰4S基本使用MB229.5标准的机油),按照TBN数值的多少进行相应的递减吧。
毛估估如果金美孚支撑1年1W,那GT1这个过了229.51对就打个7折8折吧
