The dealer told me to drive with more "enthusiasm" my judders have gone away. Strange advice yes but it seems to work.
If you can drive in Sport mode once a week the car will thank you for it usually.
The DSG's biggest enemy in my view is unpredictable stop/start driving, where you're following someone slowly and don't know when they're going to stop or keep on rolling. Clutch just doesn't know what to do and it makes for a bad ride whereas in a manual you'd probably just keep the clutch in a lot of the time and roll.
I will admit these days I put the car in neutral as the car draws to a near stop. Just on the thought that the plates may be at friction point and needlessly causing premature wear
I'm appalled at VWA's attitude to this horrendous situation, they are clearly shirking their responsibilities.
I can't believe there isn't a massive consumer backlash to these dsg issues in Australia, I heard in China VW were forced to extend the warranty to 10 years. If I don't get an appropriate response from VWA to my issue, I'll definitely be taking it further.

Fair chance it is just the clutch adaptations getting out of whack.
Drive it in manual mode for a bit. Especially in the regime where you reckon the clutch take up is getting rough. From what I can gather from your description, this is from 2nd to 3rd. So the K2 clutch disengaging and the K1 taking up. If there was a genuine clutch problem, logic suggests you would expect to see it as all the odd gears engaged, whereas you are only reporting it from 2nd to 3rd. So quite possibly the current adaptations for the gear engage points and clutch positions during this change are out of whack. If it was my car I would just reset the clutch adaptations to back to basic settings with my VCDS. then let it adapt formXSS scratch again. But as you don't have VCDS, drive it around in manual mode a for a while. Especially through the gear change you reckon is dodgy. See if it improves as the adaptations change. Good chance they will.
BTW the 2nd to 3rd change is the first point at which the K1 clutch fully engages. In a normal leisurely start off, the K1 clutch actually slips all the way to 2nd gear. So this is why you wont be seeing it when you first move.
My dealer recommended I pull off from stops or slow corners more aggressively in D....it actually works so far. Most of my judder experiences have been when driving like a granny coming out of slow uphill corners. Just putting this out there for feedback.
37G7 DOES NOTHING REGARDING THE DRIVABILITY OF THE VEHICLE
What it does is it updates the software that controlls the mechatronic unit of the DSG because a certain part number of the mechatronics unit was built and coded incorrectly which meant that the control valves did not fully seat when inoperative. This would lead to premature failure of the mechatronics unit and require replacement. This becomes an issue when the vehicle is left idle and not operating for an extended period of time, i.e. sitting on a boat for 6+ weeks while making the journey to Australia from Bremerhaven.
If you are still having shuddering issues, it is more likely a faulty mechatronics unit causing the clutches to slip more than they should. They can test the function of the mechatronics valves using the VAS system, you can also do it yourself if you have VCDS but you will not know what the required specifications are for the valve operations.....

首先我普及下尝试:手动挡,离合大概踩下去1/3—1/2是半离合,具体踩多少因车而异。
其次,DSG停车是否半离合,完全可以自己体会,我为什么说DSG挂“D”挡是半离合,具体表现有以下两点:
1、看瞬时油耗。“D”挡停车状态下的瞬时油耗和“D”挡怠速行驶一致,而停车状态下换“N”挡,瞬时油耗有所降低;
2、身体感受。“D”挡停车状态下,仔细体会,会有轻微抖动,而“N”挡状态下,没有抖动。“D”挡会有轻微抖动,跟手动挡半离合停车状态情况相似。
所以,从油耗和身体感受这两方面判断,DSG“D”挡停车状态下,有极...
